TRAINING DURING COVID-19
Streetwise Bikes is fully operational, in accordance with current protocols, and actively supporting those that have booked training during these challenging times. Our team is ready to help in any way we can. We care about our customers and staff therefore we have implemented non-contact infrared temperature checks prior to course commencement. If you have shown symptoms or been in a hot spot please contact the office and we will happily reschedule your course for a later date.
Private lessons are a great way of improving skills in whatever riding situation you are in.
Never ridden – A private lessons is perfect for someone who has never had the opportunity to sit on a bike let alone take one for a ride. Before you commit to getting a licence and doing Q-Ride, have a lesson and see how it feels and understand the skills and knowledge needed to safely ride.
Bought a new bike – want to use the track and our knowledge to make sure the bike is setup for you and ensure your skills match the bikes capability. A private lesson is the answer.
Lost confidence – it’s easy to not have access to bikes or the time to keep your skills up. Felling rusty, then have a one on one lesson to get your riding confidence up
Private lessons can be from one hour to several based on your needs.

Debit/Credit card payment via secure system (Stripe) as well as Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
For those students that don’t hold an RE Learners Licence, your private lesson will be completed on our training pads only in South Townsville where your trainer will go through basic manoeuvres such as mounting and dismounting your bike, front & rear braking, clutch control and gear change. It will be a small window of information/training that would be taught as part of Day 1 in our 2 day Pre- Learner Course.
For those students wishing to have a private lesson out on the main roads, you must hold at minimum an RE Learner Licence.
All other training will be discussed as a one-on-one basis, so the lesson can be tailored to your specific training requirements.
We supply bikes, helmets, jackets and gloves although you are free to bring your own gear. You are required to wear long pants and enclosed shoes for this course.
Full payment is required at the time of booking via our secure online payment system or by direct deposit to our bank within 24 hours of booking.
Please note that by booking this course you understand that there is no insurance should you have an accident that may result in injury, loss of income, loss of equipment and or be fatally injured.
